HILARY SAYS REVIEW:
U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Acne Treatment is one of Sunday Riley’s staple products, which claims to treat and prevent acne/blackheads, clear congested pores and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles.. It states that its key ingredient is 1.5% Salicylic Acid.
This treatment oil has some very good antioxidant oils, which can help soothe and product the skin from free radical damage (one of the main causes of premature aging). For example, Milk Thistle, which has the highest concentration in this product, is made up of Silymarin, which has shown to have anti-carcinogenic effects against UV radiation. Although topical application of antioxidants helps reduce free-radical damage to the skin, the results aren’t going to make you look years younger so I’m not very sure about its claim to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
It also contains anti-microbial oils like Black Cumin Seed oil and Tea Tree Oil, which have been proven to reduce acne lesions.
Although it contains some very good oils, there a few problematic oils in there like Neroli Oil which is a great antioxidant but can also be a skin sensitizer/irritant as it is has fragrance components. This isn’t great news if you have sensitive skin.
All in all, this is a decent product.
