Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel claims to instantly deliver intense hydration and to keep the skin looking smooth, supple and hydrated day after day; with this formulation, those claims are almost impossible. It is a very basic moisturizer. It has ingredients that will smoothen and hydrate the skin but not “intense” hydration.
Of all the ingredients in it, just 4 of them have good skin benefits.
Glycerin – Humectant
Sodium Hyaluronate – Humectant
Cetearyl Olivate & Sorbitan Olivate – Moisturizing agents (soften and smoothen the skin)
There are only 2 humectants in this product, at low percentages. With this moisturizer, you’re pretty much getting what you pay for.
