HILARY SAYS REVIEW:

Fresh claims this Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner will soften the skin and refine the appearance of pores for a healthy looking complexion; but according to the ingredients in it, will it actually give deep hydration?

This product contains Sodium Hyaluronate, a humectant, which has the capacity to attract and hold vast amounts of moisture. The only issue is that I would’ve expected that Sodium Hyaluronate will appear higher in the ingredients list. At the level it is in the product, it will hydrate lightly but you definitely can’t expect deep hydration from it. It also contains humectants like Glycerin and Butylene Glycol but those are in there more for the hydration of the product itself than the skin.

It has rose petals floating in it, which have antioxidant and skin-soothing properties, but it also contains high levels of Rose Oil (fragrance), which can irritate the skin (especially if you have sensitive skin). Daily use of products that contain a high amount of fragrance can lead to all kinds of problems for the skin in the long run. This isn’t a toner I will be using anytime soon.

A better and cheaper alternative is Klairs Supple Preparation Toner.
