HILARY SAYS REVIEW:

Hada Labo Goku-jyun Hydrating Lotion boasts of 5 different forms (molecular weight) of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant which attracts and holds water molecules making it a great skin moisturizer. It’s water-binding and water-attracting attributes fill up the spaces between connective fibers (collagen and elastin) in the dermis, making the skin supple, plump and hydrated.

Your skin’s dermis layer is made up of about 70% of water which helps to support and hydrate the skin resulting in a healthy appearance. As the amount of Hyaluronic Acid decreases (which it will do with age and also affected by environmental factors), the skin becomes dehydrated, leading to surface roughness, flaking, fine lines and much more. Wrinkles come about from the loss of three important components in the skin: collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. So basically, dehydrated skin is aged skin.

The Hada Labo Lotion contains forms of Hyaluronic Acid that have much smaller molecule sizes making it easier to penetrate the skin and hold even more water. Hyaluronic Acid works best when used regularly as its benefits are not permanent. Great product!
